Harvesting & Vase Life:
Harvest when blooms are three-quarters open for best vase life. Dahlias will not continue to open once cut, so choose flowers with full, firm petals and avoid those that feel papery or dry. Place freshly cut stems into warm water with hydrator or sear ends briefly in 160°F to 180°F water, then allow them to cool for one hour. Expect approximately 5 days of vase life.
