Harvesting & Vase Life:

Harvest when blooms are three-quarters open for best vase life. Dahlias do not continue to open once cut, so choose flowers with full, firm petals rather than papery ones. Place stems immediately in water with hydrator or sear ends in 160°F to 180°F water and allow to cool for one hour. Expect a vase life of approximately 5 days.
