I first discovered Amaranth ‘Coral Fountain’ during a variety trial years ago, and it was love at first sight. The long, cascading tassels spill downward like strands of sun-faded velvet, dyed the softest dusty coral pink. It is dramatic without being loud, romantic without being precious, and absolutely unforgettable in the garden and the vase.
This is the variety you grow when you want impact. Towering plants produce generous, flowing blooms that bring movement and texture to large-scale arrangements, statement urns, and editorial-style bouquets. It solves the age-old problem of arrangements feeling flat by adding depth, scale, and that effortless wow factor designers are always chasing.
Because sometimes one flower is all it takes to make everything else fall into place.

Seed Sowing & Growing Notes:
Start seeds indoors 4 to 6 weeks before last frost, then transplant outdoors once all danger of frost has passed. Amaranth can also be direct-seeded after frost if you prefer a simpler approach. Warm soil and sunshine are the keys to success.
Harvesting & Vase Life:
Harvest when tassels begin to elongate for the most dramatic effect. Strip away most foliage to highlight the flowing, rope-like blooms. Expect a vase life of 7 to 10 days.
