Harvesting & Vase Life:
Harvest when blooms are about three-quarters open, avoiding those that feel papery or overly mature. Dahlias do not open much after cutting, so timing is key. To extend vase life, place stems in warm water with hydrator or sear ends in 160°F to 180°F water, then allow to cool for one hour. Expect approximately 5 days of vase life.
