Zinnia ‘Dawn Creek Honey’
ETA: Shipping begins Mid February
Warm light, soft colour, and that golden hour feeling in flower form.
Zinnia ‘Dawn Creek Honey’ is pure warmth in bloom. This buttery, sun-washed mix unfolds in shades of buff, peach, honey, and cream, gently brushed with a subtle golden glow and the occasional pop of dandelion yellow. The palette feels calm, cohesive, and endlessly usable, the kind of color story that makes bouquets feel collected rather than contrived.
Large flowers sit atop long, strong stems, with many blooms showing a beautiful cactus-like form and varying levels of petal fullness. The result is texture, movement, and depth, all without trying too hard. Originally sourced from Kori at Dawn Creek Farm, this mix carries a quiet credibility and a designer’s eye for tone and nuance.
It solves the search for a warm neutral that still feels interesting, offering softness without fading into the background.
Because not all statement flowers need to be loud.

Seed Sowing & Growing Notes:
Start seeds indoors 4 to 6 weeks before your last frost. Zinnias are very cold sensitive, so wait until all danger of frost has passed before planting outdoors. Seeds can also be direct-seeded once the weather is consistently warm. Pinching encourages branching and increased bloom production.
Harvesting & Vase Life:
Use the wiggle test before cutting. Hold the stem about 8 inches below the bloom and gently shake. If the stem bends, wait. If it stays stiff and upright, it is ready to harvest. Do not place zinnias in the cooler. Zinnias can cloud vase water quickly, so add a few drops of bleach to keep stems fresh. Expect a vase life of about 7 days.
A softly glowing zinnia mix that brings warmth, texture, and timeless ease to every summer arrangement.
