Zinnia ‘Benary’s Giant Deep Red’ is made for gardeners who love rich, saturated color. Among the largest-flowered zinnias available, this variety produces broad, fully double blooms in a glowing ruby red. A subtle hint of purple on the back of the petals adds an iridescent quality that catches the light and gives each flower remarkable depth.
Strong, tall plants with excellent disease resistance deliver long, sturdy stems that hold up beautifully in the garden and the vase. This variety solves the need for a true red that feels luxurious rather than flat, bringing drama and warmth to summer bouquets without overpowering the mix.

Seed Sowing & Growing Notes:
Start seeds indoors 4 to 6 weeks before last frost, then transplant outdoors once all danger of frost has passed. Zinnias can also be direct-seeded after the weather has warmed. Pinching encourages branching and more blooms.
Harvesting & Vase Life:
Use the wiggle test before cutting. Hold the stem about 8 inches below the bloom and gently shake. If the stem bends, wait. If it remains firm and upright, it is ready to harvest. Do not place zinnias in the cooler. Zinnias can cloud vase water quickly, so add a few drops of bleach to keep stems fresh. Expect a vase life of about 7 days.
