Queen Anne’s Lace ‘Queen of Africa’
ETA: Shipping begins Mid February
The ultimate backbone flower you will never regret growing.
Queen Anne’s Lace ‘Queen of Africa’ is one of the most hardworking and indispensable fillers you can grow from seed. Tall, elegant stems carry wide, lacy flower heads in a crisp green-white tone that instantly brings balance and cohesion to bouquets. This is the flower that quietly holds everything together, especially in late spring and early summer arrangements when structure and airiness matter most.
The more you cut, the more it produces, making it incredibly generous and reliable. It solves the constant challenge of needing volume without heaviness and movement without chaos. Once you grow it, you will understand why every single stem gets used and why it earns a permanent place in the cutting garden year after year.
Because every great bouquet needs a strong foundation.
Important Note:
When cut, Queen Anne’s Lace releases a sap that can irritate skin and may cause scarring in severe reactions. Always wear gloves and long sleeves when harvesting. This plant is also potentially poisonous to livestock.

Seed Sowing & Growing Notes:
Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost and transplant outdoors while the weather is still cool. Seeds can be slow to germinate, so chilling them in the freezer for 10 to 14 days before sowing helps improve success. For continuous harvest, succession plant every 2 weeks.
Harvesting & Vase Life:
Harvest when about 80 percent of the flowers on a stem are open, as stems may wilt if cut too early. Wear gloves and long sleeves during harvest to avoid skin irritation. Expect a vase life of 6 to 8 days.
A prolific, elegant essential that delivers structure, softness, and unmatched usefulness in the cutting garden.
