Larkspur ‘Giant Imperial White King’ is the definition of classic elegance in the spring cutting garden. Tall stems are densely packed with old-fashioned, fully double, hyacinth-shaped blooms that form a solid column of clean white flowers. The effect is architectural and refined, offering height and structure without heaviness.
One of the easiest cut flowers to grow, larkspur thrives in cool conditions and blooms early, filling that precious spring gap when little else is ready. It’s invaluable in early season mixed bouquets, wedding work, and minimal arrangements where form and tone do the heavy lifting. Long after fresh blooms fade, the stems dry beautifully, extending their usefulness well beyond the growing season.
Because nothing is more powerful than a true, confident white.

Seed Sowing & Growing Notes:
Larkspur performs best when direct-seeded. Sow in late fall or early spring, or start indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost and transplant out while the weather is still cool. Seeds can be slow to germinate indoors, so chilling them in the freezer for 10 to 14 days before sowing helps improve success. Extremely cold-tolerant, larkspur can be fall-planted even in very cold climates.
Harvesting & Vase Life:
Harvest when about one-third of the blossoms on a stem are open. Larkspur is highly ethylene sensitive, so keep it away from ripening fruit. Expect a vase life of 5 to 7 days. For drying, allow all but the top 3 to 4 blooms to open, then hang stems upside down in a warm, dark place away from bright light for about 2 weeks.
