Foxglove ‘Excelsior’ is as timeless as it gets. This old-fashioned mix produces towering spires in rich shades of purple, lilac, lavender-blush, and soft white, each bloom marked with beautifully freckled throats in chocolate and cream. The effect is wild and romantic, identical to the foxgloves you’d expect to see growing along hedgerows and garden paths.
These statuesque plants bring instant height and drama to the garden and are especially striking when planted en masse. In arrangements, they create that loose, gathered, storybook look that feels effortless yet deeply considered. This is the flower you grow when you want your garden to feel alive, layered, and rooted in tradition.

Seed Sowing & Growing Notes:
Sow seeds from late spring through early summer. Transplant seedlings into the garden at least 6 weeks before your first autumn frost. Plants will overwinter outdoors and bloom the following spring. Seeds are very small, so bottom-watering is recommended until seedlings emerge.
Harvesting & Vase Life:
Harvest when just a few of the bottom blossoms are open, before bees pollinate the flowers. Expect a vase life of approximately 6 to 8 days.
