Celosia ‘Rose Gold’ is unlike anything else in the cutting garden. This luminous mix of rose gold, blush, and champagne plumes looks as though each bloom has been lightly dusted with iridescent glitter. The effect is warm, antique, and quietly glamorous, adding a sense of richness without feeling flashy.
Strong, heavily branched plants produce deep ruby-red stems and cranberry-veined foliage that perfectly frame the metallic flower heads. Seed Sowing & Growing Notes:
Sow seeds indoors 4 to 6 weeks before last frost. Seeds are very small, so barely cover with soil. Celosia is highly sensitive to cold, so transplant only after all danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed. It can also be direct-seeded once temperatures are consistently warm.
Harvesting & Vase Life:
Harvest when flower heads reach the desired size but before seeds form. Strip about 80 percent of the foliage at harvest. Do not place in the cooler. Expect a vase life of 10 to 14 days. Blooms also dry beautifully. To dry, hang stems upside down in a warm, dark space for 2 to 3 weeks until firm.
