Celosia ‘Pampas Plume Mix’ is one of the fastest celosias to come into bloom, making it a favorite for gardeners who want early texture and steady production. Wispy plumes in pale lemon, apricot, cream, cranberry, and soft orange float above the foliage, bringing an airy, almost weightless quality to mixed bouquets.
This mix churns out bucket after bucket of feathery flower heads throughout the summer, solving the problem of fillers that bloom once and disappear. Seed Sowing & Growing Notes:
Start seeds indoors 4 to 6 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors once all danger of frost has passed. Celosia loves warmth and sunshine, and consistent heat will reward you with strong growth and abundant blooms.
Harvesting & Vase Life:
Harvest when flower heads reach the desired size but before seeds form. Strip about 80 percent of the foliage during harvest. Do not place stems in the cooler. Expect a vase life of 10 to 14 days. Flowers also dry beautifully. To dry, hang stems upside down in a warm, dark space for 2 to 3 weeks until firm.
