Seed Sowing & Growing Notes:
Start seeds indoors 8 to 10 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors once all danger of frost has passed. These plants take their time to establish, but the payoff comes in the form of towering stems and oversized blooms.
Harvesting & Vase Life:
Harvest when flowers are just beginning to open. Black-eyed Susans are known for clouding vase water quickly, even with preservative. Adding a few drops of bleach helps keep water clear and stems fresh. Expect a vase life of 7 to 10 days.
