Basil ‘Aromatto’ is one of those rare plants that delivers on every level. Tall, deep purple stems support glossy, plum-veined leaves, topped with brilliant amethyst flower spikes that feel almost ornamental in their own right.

Seed Sowing & Growing Notes:
Start seeds indoors about 6 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors only after all danger of frost has passed and temperatures have warmed, as basil is very sensitive to cold. Warm soil and consistent sun encourage strong growth and rich colour.
Harvesting & Vase Life:
Harvest when stems begin to toughen or as flower buds start to form. Cut during the coolest part of the day to reduce wilting. Immediately dip the lower stems in boiling water for 7 to 10 seconds or use Quick Dip, then place in cool water. Expect a vase life of 7 to 10 days.
