This All in One Stain and Finishing Oil is your go to solution to bare wood to show off the grain, yet change the colour to your desire. The pigment in it stains your wood accentuating the grain.

It has a combination of natural oils and resins that penetrate into the wood fibers to create a durable, scratch resistant, waterproof finish.

It does not leave a surface film that sits on top, rather it soaks in and becomes part of your wood.

It is ideal for wooden table tops as it has excellent resistance to abrasions and can be washed over and over again!

This is a highly concentrated oil blend so a little will go a long way!

INGREDIENTS:

Our Stain & Finishing Oil is composed of plant products, Safflower oil, Tung oil, Linseed oil, Vegetable wax, safe odourless mineral solvent and cobalt free siccative which means effective drying without toxic cobalt dryers while being virtually odourless.

Perfect for those high traffic surfaces such as table tops, our non-yellowing water-based wipe on sealer, easily applied with a damp lint free cloth and dries to a matte finish.

Shake gently before use. If applying to a recently painted surface, allow 12-24 hours of drying time before applying. For best results, use with a damp lint free rag and apply two coats 2-4 hours apart. In humid areas, longer drying times may be required.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Apply to a clean sound surface free of grease, oil, dirt, shellac or dust. Do not apply to a surface that is wet, or on asphalt, shellac, vinyl or linoleum tile.

APPLICATION

Stir thoroughly before applying. Do not shake as you will introduce bubbles. Appears as a coloured gel until stirred. Dries to a satin sheen in the colour of your choosing. (One coat is translucent – subsequent coats can build to a solid color. Test your methods in an inconspicuous area.) Using a brush (or very short nap roller – NOT a foam roller-avoid air bubbles). Dry time is approximately 4 hours at 25°C and 50% relative humidity on most porous surfaces and can be longer if applied thickly or to completely sealed surfaces. Apply a thin coat in a dust free area. Wait 4 hours before recoating if needed. Remember to always test for tackiness prior to re-coating – if it’s still tacky wait another few hours and re-test. (if subsequent coats are desired or surface feels bumpy give a light sanding and remove dust before recoating. If applying to brand new raw wood, the first coating should be thinned by 20% by using 1 part mineral spirits and 4 parts gel stain (dry time will be much shorter on this initial coat). When dry area can be lightly used in 24 to 48 hours. Takes approx. 5 days to cure.

Approx 120 sq ft -Additional coats will achieve a darker, deep rich colour.

This all natural Hemp Oil Wood Finish is very easy to apply. Simply pour or brush on and wipe away the excess with a rag. A few reason why we love Hemp Oil!

This oil will darken and richen the wood with a soft luster. Generally the older the wood the more it will darken it. This will vary based on the type of wood and the age of the wood. It is highly recommended to try a small amount on an area to find out how your project will look with this application.

Used inside this food-safe oil finish is perfect to use in the kitchen on wooden cutting boards, wooden utensils or stone. Also provides a wonderful finish for flooring.

COVERAGE:

Coverage will vary taking into consideration what the oil is being applied to. For example, a previously oiled surface will require very little oil, where as bare wood will require more.

CURING:

The oil will feel dry to the touch one day after the initial application, however complete drying can be several days. For example if there is too much oil initially applied, then small amounts of oil may rise over the first few days. This can be avoided by wiping the excess away with a cloth. If used on a floor during this time it is recommended to place some cardboard pieces where there will be a lot of foot traffic. Dirty shoes should be kept off for at least two weeks.

HOW TO:

This oil is great for those that suffer from chemical sensitivities and can not use solvent based products. The odour of this oil is much like crushed walnuts.This oil is a great environmentally friendly locally produced with no additives or preservatives. 

 This is different than the oil in the health food stores only in so far as we have put the oil through a process which allows the oil to completely dry on its own, without the use of added chemicals or dryers.

It penetrates to protect from the inside out. This oil does not leave a surface film that will chip or scratch.

PREPARATION:

Mix 1/4 a bottle (15ml) – 1/2 a bottle of Extender (30ml) together with a pint. 1 bottle is good for to 2-4 pints. Adding more is not recommended as it will impact your drying and curing time. 

CLEAN UP:

Soap and water.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Prep your piece as you would to paint with Fusion Mineral Paint. Clean your piece with TSP and give it a light scuff sand.

APPLICATION:

Once mixed with Fusion Mineral Paint, apply paint as usual. You will notice a longer open drying time, thus giving you time to work with the paint and smooth out brush strokes. Once your first coat fully dries, apply a subsequent coats as needed. We recommend waiting at least 4 hours between coats when using the Extender. Should you notice that applying your second coat is lifting off the first, either too much extender was used, or it needs more time to dry and cure before applying another coat.

Recommended ratio of 15 mL per pint (500 mL) of paint.

Using too much of this product will increase drying time substantially, but also increases cure time.  Add maximum 10% of original paint volume.

• Add no more than 10% extender into your paint for a flawless finish.
  
• Just add a quarter bottle or half a bottle, to 1 Pint of Fusion Mineral Paint for a super smooth brush stroke free finish!

This Black Wax adds instant age and depth to any project! 

Just add a small amount to the areas that have any ridges and recesses, and let the wax work its magic!

An acrylic pouring medium for creating beautiful art on canvas or wood, and dries with a glossy finish. 

This Pouring Resin mixes seamlessly with Fusion to create beautiful and unique acrylic pour artwork.  It can be used on canvas, furniture, or any surface that Fusion sticks to.  It finishes to a very durable, glossy finish, and can even be used on its own as a finish or top coat over Fusion Mineral Paint.  It can even be painted on top of for a multi-dimensional look.

HOW TO APPLY:

Stir Pouring Resin before using.  Best used on a horizontal surface for best application, as Pouring Resin is self-levelling. 

To add colour, add a couple of drops of any Fusion Mineral Paint to tint the Resin (no more than 10% paint ratio).  You want to use very little paint so that products flows. 

Tap the surface to settle air any bubbles. 

If using Cell Enhancer, afterwards be sure to wipe those areas clean with a bit of rubbing alcohol to remove the shiny wet look.

Dry time: 8-12 hours | Re-coat time: 12-24 hours | Cure time: 21 days

Cell Enhancer

Looking to add a little bit of an extra effect for your Fusion acrylic pour art?  Our Cell Enhancer is the product you need.  It is made of a high-grade silicone oil that will enhance, enlarge, and increase the number of cells within your Pouring Resin art application.  Simply add a couple of drops to each mixed colour, and let the Cell Enhancer do the rest.

Please note: you CANNOT PAINT OVER a surface that includes Cell Enhancer.
